The Republican Party of Pennsylvania is seeking students interns to work on upcoming campaigns such as:  Brian Fitzpatrick for Congress, Lou Barletta for Senate, Scott Wagner for Governor. Interns can expect to  play an integral role relating to grassroots functions. Interns will be exposed to the interworkings of political campaigns, and the importance of community organizing. Interns will work phone banks as well as conduct voter contact in the form of canvassing. They will work hand-in-hand with several individual campaigns, staff political events, petitioning, and conduct voter registration.  Interested students should contact Robert Fumai, Field Organizer, at rfumai@pagop.org or 203-984-0105 before August 15th. Internships will start ASAP and will last through the November election.  *Note: Campaign internships are not acceptable for academic credit through the GVPT Internship program.

Congressman Francis Rooney (FL-19) is looking for students to intern in his office on Capitol Hill for the Fall 2018 semester. The internship runs from August/September - December and is unpaid. Responsibilities include: r esearching legislation for the Member and legislative staff, attending hearings and briefings,  answering phones, providing constituent tours,  and answering constituent letters on various issues before the House. The Office of Barack and Michelle Obama's Fall 2018 Internship Program in Washington, D.C. will begin on Monday, September 10 and end on Friday, December 14 with an orientation on Saturday, September 8.  Students can apply to an Intern position by submitting a cover letter and resume to  Interns@obamaoffice44.org  no later than 6pm ET on Thursday, June 28.

The ICONS project has two opportunities available for students to join their team as an intern during the Fall 2018 semester. ICONS, or the International Communication and Negotiation Simulations Project, is a unit of the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Response to Terrorism (START) at the University of Maryland, College Park. The first internship opportunity is specifically geared toward working with researching and updating simulations created by the ICONS project. The second will be working with the International Crisis Behavior Project (ICB).
