ICMA Student Chapter Interest Meeting

GVPT is helping establish a student chapter of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) at UMD. The first meeting of the semester will be held Thursday, September 27 at 7 PM in Tydings 1111. 

Scott Somers, the city manager of College Park, will provide more information about local government and membership with ICMA. Scott will serve as one of the chapter advisors.

BSOS Undergraduate Experience Funds Application Extended to 11/28

The Winter/Spring  Experience   Fund   Application deadline has been extended to Wednesday, November 28th. Apply ASAP! The BSOS Undergraduate Experience funds assist undergraduate BSOS majors engaged in experiential learning outside the classroom, such as unpaid internships, research, service learning, and professional or academic conferences. The funds are intended to help offset expenses related to such activities like travel/transportation expenses, professional attire, and other opportunity costs.
